Ouidad Hachem Foundation

It is often after a tragedy that hope is reborn. In my case, the disappearance of my sister, Dr. Ouidad Hachem, was the spark that pushed me to found this association in order to extend her work with her life. All his life, Ouidad worked generously to make the world a little better educated and a little better cared for. The two sectors on which the Ouidad Hachem foundation works are education and health, two essential pillars to build a better future.

In the Education sector, the foundation awards scholarships to young academics who meet the eligibility requirements.

In the field of Health, the foundation finances equipment (for example, donation of ultrasound scanners to the hospital of the Lebanese city of Tyre and to the association APLS, working in breast cancer screening in Senegal), treatment of patients or awareness programs to support the action of NGOs or public utility associations.

In the field of Research, the foundation supports the action of scientific and medical research units.

The foundation is a partner of the following structures whose research projects or programs we support: Université Paris Descartes, APREC (Alliance For Cancer Research), American University Beirut Medical Center, Alba, Rotary International, Chronic Care Center, Octobre Rose, Floukart, Karma, Yasa, AMPM (Association Moving Towards Prevention Medecine).

The foundation in figures: projects in 4 countries, 6 educational initiatives and 9 health initiatives supported, 5509 people reached annually.
